Members Success Stories

Tim's open meeting season started in 2021 on the ILCA (Laser) Lakeland and North Grand Prix Series in April at Killington where he won all 3 races.

In May at the Scottish and North ILCA Super Grand Prix Event at St Mary Lock he managed 2nd overall.

​

The next event in June, Tim won 1st overall at the open event at Bassenthwaite and then at Keilder Water and 2nd place at South Shields.  This was Tim's first sea event of the year.

In July, Tim then went on to win 1st at Annadale and 2nd at Tynemouth and in September came 2nd in three further events at Beadnell, Blackpool and Coniston.

Tim had a great season with the overall win of the 2021 ILCA (Laser) Lakeland and North Grand Prix Series for the 4th time in a row.  Congratulations.

Tim's final event for the year was at the Master ILCA Inlands Championships at Grafham Water.  The first day was a mixed bag of results for him with a 4th, 18th and 16th.  However Sunday saw improved results (with a hangover) and he managed to finish 10th overall and 2nd in the master category.

Well done to Henry who won the Silver Fleet in ILCA 4 at the ILCA Nationals in Weymouth.  Henry has been selected for the ILCA 4 RYA Regional Training Group.

Congratulations to Hamish who has been successful in three events this year.

11th in the RS400 Nationals at South Shields after a 3rd place in the first race.  There was a full range of wind from not enough to too much, with spectacular waves on the last day.

​

2nd in the Great Northern Asymmetic Challenge at Bassenthwaite, partaking in eight races over two days.

​

5th overall in the RS400 Northern Tour.
