Lake closed to non competitors PDF Print E-mail
The Leeds University sailing event is taking place on Saturday 31st October and Sunday 1st November and not Sunday 25th October as previously published.

This means that the  lake will be shut to non competitors on both these days.

Following the Daring Dane in his Flying Finn being crowned this year's Top Dog, the Frostbite series will resume on Sunday 8th Novemeber. 1st Race 11.00 and the second race 13.00. Soeren has set the benchmark. Can he be beaten?

How does he do it? Saturday 26th September and Gang master Guy once again delivered a perfect day with clear blue skies, a nice southerly breeze and warm temperatures, perfect for sailing.

However once again over thirty volunteers, thought different and turned up armed with drills, saws, snips pliers and climbing gear ready to attack the jobs that Guy had lined up for them. Some had already put in appearance the previous week; others had heard what fun it had been (or was it the rumour of a free bar?)

Thank you: Part 1 PDF Print E-mail
Saturday 19th September saw over 20 volunteers turning up to help on the workday.  Led by Guy Cokhill the teams were split into roof repairs, jetty repairs , slipway clearing and  building a new compound fence.  A big "Thank You" is needed for all the people who turned up as we really couldn't do it without you.  A huge amount was achieved during the day and provides a good foundation for the next workday on Saturday 26th September.
